ABOUT ROBERTO
Roberto’s sports career began as a professional basketball player for Pallacanestro Biella in Italy’s top league. After a knee injury, he shifted his focus to studying athletes and improving performance, with a philosophy that treats every patient like an athlete.
He graduated in 2018 from Lugano, earned a Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Pisa in 2020, and completed a PgCert in Pain Management from the University of Edinburgh in 2024. Roberto specializes in lower limb rehabilitation for knee, ankle, hip, and muscle injuries.
With coaching experience for teams like Massagno and Lugano, Roberto also served as assistant coach and strength & conditioning coach for the Swiss national basketball team (2017-2021) and worked with the Swiss national swimming team. He continues to collaborate with the Swiss Basketball Federation.
Roberto is also a lecturer and researcher at Campus Ludes in Ticino, continuously updating his knowledge to provide the latest evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
